Where to Stay, Have Fun on Sea and Land, Eat, Golf, and Shop

Palmilla is in a league of its own, with a world-class golf course, some of the best beaches in Cabo, and a sprawling collection of luxury Cabo real estate. This means endless options for immersing yourself in nature on sea and on land, golfing for days, and eating really well.

Where to Stay

In the early 50s, Palmilla was among the first communities in Los Cabos to build a luxury resort and a destination golf course. The luxury real estate in Palmilla is a combination of custom-built exclusive residential properties, Hacienda-style villas, and single-family homes. These set the standard for high-end resort living in Cabo, offering both unique investment opportunities and exclusive vacation homes.

Where to Enjoy the Water

The mile-long stretch of swimmable Playa Palmilla (Palmilla Beach) offers calm waters and family-friendly facilities, like a swimming area separated from the area where you can boat. Playa Palmilla is also a Blue Flag beach, recognized by the Denmark-based Foundation for Environmental Education for its water quality, safety, and services.

As in most of Cabo, you have lots to do besides swimming and taking scenic walks: try whale watching, surfing, sailing, or chartering a boat to fish big game. December to April is the best time of year to witness the magnificent whales migrating in pods from Alaska. You may see grey whales, humpbacks, or enormous blue whales. Or dive and snorkel among the reefs to glimpse the incredibly rich sea life, including sea turtles and flying manta rays.

Where to Explore on Land

Ride the scenic trails and beaches on horseback or hike the surrounding area at your pleasure. Or take one of the guided Jeep tours to the UNESCO biosphere reserve, the mountain range called Sierra de la Laguna with its steep canyons and diverse natural habitat.

The One&Only Palmilla resort offers several excellent dining options right on the premises.

Michelin-starred Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten heads SEARED, which offers a long wine list, custom cuts of meat, sea-to-table seafood, and a raw bar. Named for the restaurant’s two signature offerings, sushi and ceviche, Suviche features Japanese fusion with creative twists. The Aqua is renowned for its seasonal Baja-inspired menu and oceanside setting on a clifftop overlooking the Sea of Cortez. At the poolside open-air brasserie Breeze you can enjoy elevated comfort cuisine and stunning views of the Los Cabos coastline.

Where to Golf

The award-winning and internationally renowned Palmilla Golf Club is considered one of the best golf courses in Mexico. Its 27-hole course has stunning ocean, mountain, and desert views, several lakes, and deep shifts in elevation. Designed by golfing great Jack Nicklaus, the Palmilla Golf Club was the first signature course that he built in Mexico. Where to Shop

The Shoppes at Palmilla is a large shopping mall with luxury retail stores, boutiques, seafood and sushi restaurants, cafes, a salon, an art gallery, and a juice bar. Since Palmilla is close to San Jose del Cabo, you can also visit the town’s historic district to shop for high-quality crafts, art, jewelry, and souvenirs. Then there are the shopping malls, galleries, and markets of Cabo San Lucas.
